Spent a fair bit of time on this, hopefully you can appreciate that. I'm definitely much happer using a tablet now, hopefully you can appreciate that also :P

Love the pose and expression. He's probably thinking of his now dead family and how hellish war is.

Also love the mood of this piece. Like the first blue sky ever seen in months.

Thanks a lot man, though at this stage of the war his family is likely still relatively safe in Germany.

I was thinking of his other family he had in Poland. He was a cheating man.
